  1. Hello Nicole and Steve,

Thank you for a wonderful stay on the 26th-28th November. We had a really wonderful insight into the bush at your special and restful lodge and the 2 Americans have gone off to India with a greater insight into the African bush – and an appreciation of the other players who make up the African bush other than the Big 5 – although we did see Buffalo and Elephant in Kruger the special sightings were some cheetah and a very close sighting of a Bateleur eagle in a tree. Hope your break in the Cape has gone well – Cape Town seems to have been very busy with the World Cup Draw excitement.

As mentioned I would like to make another booking for 4 people for the 2 nights from 27th March 2010. The guests with me will be my sister Sinead, her husband Roger and their daughter Jenny (in her 12th year). Please confirm the availability and if it is okay then I will pay the deposit in the first week of January 2010.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Regards,
    Anne

    Hi Steve and Nicole,

I just wanted to thank you for the excellent stay… I know Alex has done so
already, but I wanted to do it myself too…

I loved the place, your friendly staff, the excellent food we had and also the “formula” on the basis you run your lodge: flexible with regards to the walks / drives, etc…: no fixed / rigid time table, but with the client choosing what they want to do, it’s excellent… Also Steve knowledge of
the bush / animals, and they way he transmit’s it is great…
    Dear Steve and Nicole

When we left Toro Yaka we had a look at our invoice and realised that you did not charge us for one of our night drives, and we did ‘nt see this until we were in the car to the airport. It may be that you did not charge us for the drive when the vehicle broke down?…if so,we just wanted to say thank you,but that you needn’t have done that as we had a great time and saw 4 amazing elephants which we may not have done if the car had stayed in one piece!…anyway, thank you for the discount,it was very kind of you..

We had such a great few days at the lodge…some of the best days of our trip.We have already recommended your place to our friends that are due to visit S Africa..so I hope they make a visit. You have an amazing place ,great staff ,wonderful food and really informative game drives…just perfect,so thanks again.

Hope the rain came!It certainly made its appearance during the rest of our trip!!

    All the best

  3. These Photos were given to us by our guests Tammy and Victor after they had a leopard sighting with Steve last Friday. They were stoke and very happy. Steve did not bring his camera that night, so we are very glad that we still got some nice shots. Thanxalot guys!

  4. Dear Nichole and Steve,

As we are now back in the freezing northern hemisphere, we think back on our wonderful days at your beautiful lodge that really also became our Toroyaka. You really got something special to offer, and if it wasn’t for the 10000 km between Balule and Copenhagen, we would come every other month and enjoy your splendid hospitality and Steve’s enthusiastic Game Drives. We are happy to be part of the Hyena project and we hope and believe that you will succeed in releasing them into the reserve in the near future.

    Best regards
    Pia and Michael

  6. Although we did not stay at TORO YAKA, we had fantastic gamedrives, boma supper and bush walks with Steve. Our kids have learned so much and are sharing all their Bush knowledge with their Canadian classmates.
You really made our Safari experience a special one.
Thanks so much Nicole and Steve.
